And now I have no sweaters.

I usually don't care for quotes, but I love the above saying, and always have. There is something a little bit romantic about it. I usually picture an unknown wide-eyed, squat, gray haired woman saying it, with a wooden spoon in hand, as she pushes her glasses up the bridge of her nose with the other hand. I have weird thoughts.

Last night I tried de-pilling my very pilled gray drapey cardigan with my fabric shaver. After 20 minutes, I had only de-pilled a quarter of the garment, and I wasn't having much fun. So, I stuck it in my donate bag. I wore it out... And now I'm doing without. My blue zip hoodie can achieve the exact same objective as the cardigan (which was mostly used as a security blanket during horror movies- I would swadle myself into the drapey fabric. And now, I can pull my hoodie strings and escape just as effectively, when the zombies start up again).

By the way, fabric shavers are awesome. Check out the coolness that I did accomplish before I got bored as fyühck.

Smooth! That lint is from just 1/4 of my cardigan!

...And now I own no sweaters! I love the idea of a cozy sweater in fall. But realistically, I'm more of a hoodie fan. Hoodies make me think of sleeping in and then slinking into Sunday brunch in jammies and hoodies, back in high school.

How many things do we own just because we like the idea of them?

It's nice to be back in KC after 8 days away. I loved seeing the fam, but part of me longed to get back here to my apartment, with my doge, put my phone on Airplane Mode, eat healthy food so I could feel good, and write write write to my little heart's content, and make money again. Because as much fun (is it though? Is it fun?) as not spending can be, it's super fun to make money and fling that shit right at my car payments.

Tomorrow my buddies and I are doing an escape room in Grandview! I'm super stoked about it because many of my favorite people will all be there, and two of them have never done an escape room before, and it's always fun to play with newbs. I bought the Groupon for the room escape in August, so it doesn't count toward my "wants" budget, which has $23 left for the month... or $38, when I return these sunglasses to Target, which I will, cause I fixed my others.
